After graduating from the George Washington University and American University of Antigua, Dr. Iyad Baker has completed his family medicine residency training at Hoboken University Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident.

In addition to receiving the Castle Connolly Award, as voted by his peers, Dr. Baker was honored with the Silver Card Award from the Bergen County PBA, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the community. In a time of great need, he spearheaded the establishment of a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site, which earned him the COVID Response Award for his leadership and swift action in protecting public health.

Interests

Dr. Baker has meread interests; he loves spending time with his wife Dr. Sara Baker and 2 young children, he loves all sports both watching and playing. Notbally every weekend in the summer the Baker Health Team gathers for his famous BBQ’s which offers the ability for the broader Baker Health Team and their families to come together outside of work creating a very unique bond that translates to the Member experience.

Philosophy

You have not mastered anything if you cannot teach it to anyone. If it has been defined by anything, his career is defined by teaching and mentorship. No doctor in the country has taught or trained more primary care doctors. He believes his purpose is not only training exceptional physicians of tomorrow but also teaching Baker Health Members how to be their own healthcare advocates.
